Project Tours with ecological designers Marie Chieppo, Trevor Smith and Dave Scandurra! Two properties approximately 1 mile apart with two very different conditions.

One had a great deal of invasive plant pressure and sandy wet soil. The other is located on the ocean with minimal invasive pressure and very dry soil. A meadow has been incorporated into each site along with a more formal aesthetic close to the main entrance.

Located on a tidal marsh in Falmouth. Edible plants such as beach plum, persimmon, paw paws and much more adorn this property.

About the designers

Dave Scandurra started Edible Landscapes of Cape Cod in the Spring of 2012, with the simple mission of helping people grow organic food in their yards. Edible Landscapes specializes in “foodscaping,” native plantings, food forests, raised beds, veggies and herbs, garden fencing, fruit and nut tree planting and holistic maintenance.

Dave is an edible plant enthusiast; particularly interested in herbaceous perennial vegetables and lesser-known native edible plants. He is an accredited organic land care professional.
